Despite the freezing temperatures (South Floridian here) the crappie bite has still managed to be red hot. I recently braved the cold and took my buddy Brandon to go put some crappie in the boat and we caught several nice slabs. We noticed several had roe in their bellies. All the fish were caught single pole jigging and most were caught in a fishing hole the size the deck of my boat!
