I used flip down magnifier when I didn't want to wear my glasses all the time and they worked well. But at some point I decided to wear my glasses all the time .I had 6 or 8 pairs of walmart readers and I still couldn't keep up with them. With the flip down magnifier I could still buy any sunglasses I wanted. It doesn't get any better the older you get.

You old folks need to exercise your eyes more often. Try a trip to Hooter's.

When I started to need some help about your age, got tired of taking cheaters on and off, I went to the Dr and got some progressive lens with clear in the top, so I could walk around with them on. It takes a day or two to get used to them but, once you do they are great. I now have progressive polaroid sun glasses for the outdoors.
