I know it sounds crazy, but two of my favorite winter time crappie haunts are completely plugged with huge shad. The baitfish are so thick that the electronics can't penitrate them. The fishing is slow,and when you do catch one it is fat as just before spawn. The shad are threadfin, and uniformly 4 inches long! How do I deal with these fish?
