Couldn't remember which one I was on....guess I could drag'em all! This on my honey hole by the way. Markers are on the bigger trees, on the outer edge of a grove of trees in 15 to 20 ft of water on a main lake point. Crappie are always stacked in it. Attachment 279184

Ouch,that hurts.Not familiar with your setup,but magnet fishing might be a good option in case of future mishaps.

+1 this is the best method for getting your rod back. It works better than a treble hook. I have retrieved two rods using this method.

It happens to all of us at one time or another. I can at least say I have caught more of other peoples lost rod & reels by accident (prolly 7 or eight) than I have lost myself... I have only lost one in many years of fishing.

dont feel bad, I lost 2 yesterday! worth about $ 300.00!!!!! Got a waypoint on one of them, its in 20 foot of water, still studying on how to find it...

I lost an anchor one time put a way point on it about 2 years later water level was very low got it back.

I put my rod and reel on top of my brothers Bimini top and grabbed another rod and forgot about it. My brother saw it fall off the top at the last second. Gone to the bottom, a few weeks later a crappie guide friend found it. I don’t know why the friend hasn’t re- lined with new line and cleaned and oiled the reel and over nighted it to me (lol).
