Default Portable Fishfinder Power Supply Question

I was looking at buying a new (old) Humminbird TCR ID 1 unit for an old friend that really liked them back in the day. I found a brand new one but it is a portable. Before I buy it I was wondering if the portables used 12 volts to power them like the regular mount ones did.

Always used 12 volt for mine. 2 6s in series or 8 aa batteries finally a 12 volt gel cell.
