OK, the story does not start on the water. It's along ways off. First you have to hear about the pre-fish story.
Abbey finds comfortable place to nap. And Billbob and I did too at CanePole's. As a matter a fact he napping right now on the couch here as I write this.
The robot. CanePole always has something up his sleeve. This is a sort of tow behind depth finder thingy so he can determine what depth his lures are running. CanePole is a serious about his fishing electronics.
And then we had breakfast.
A big meal for someone (me) that don't normally eat breakfast.
And then "the step". Billbob's RV's step is supposed to auto extend, but it don't since he was in KY. He needs this to work cause it's hard for a cripple like him to get up a single 18 inch tall first step now. "G" don't forget that wood step please (for MO) cause we never did get this electric step to work.
No, I did not make Billbob do the work, I tried to fix the thing, Billbob was just inspecting things. The linkage was all bound up with rust. I freed it up and the motor works when you apply direct power, but we can't find the fuse for the thing so we can't get it to work automatically.
And finally we go fishing:
Caught a few crappie, gills and warmouth's too.
Both gubers with closed eyes cause of the setting sun.
I guess this is how gubers relax. One with a pole between his knees while on the phone, and the other looking like he's napping with the dog! lol
Not a bad day when all was said and done. Thanks for the hospitality CanePole, it was a true pleasure.
