I have a very special place that I get to fish only a few times each year. Late yesterday was one of those times. it was getting on toward dark so time to search was limited. We started of in a new area. it was fishing but only had baby fish. I gave it about 20 min. and said time to move. Moved over to MY spot. Drilled my first hole and no lookers. Moved about 15 feet and drilled another. Its starting to get dusk. Boom drop my Helix transducer and its Hello Bee. They were stacked. This is a deep place. 39 feet and the fish were at 25. Nice i say lets go play. Drop the jig and as it is going down up they come. Jig gets to 25 ft. and so do the slabs. Boom fish on. Very slow to retrieve so i can hope to release him. On the ice he is and in good shape. Back down he goes and his friends are still there looking to see what it was he liked so much. After about 20 minutes the bite is done and around 20 of his friends have took the ride to the topside. These are SLABS 13-16 inches. Pound and a half to 3 pounds. Two of us fishing and all got sent back to bite again.
