Line changing tip

Man that is a game changer! I have never thought of this! My hand method sucks! Thankyou for posting!

I strip off the line by hand, but I don't re-spool line on very many reels at one time. The "drill" method would definitely save some time and effort for those that do re-spool many reels on a regular basis.

BUT .... I don't trash my old line !! I save it up, then drop it off at a recycle bin specific for fishing line. :ThumbsUp

Sounds like theirs going to be a run on hard plastic shot glasses down at wally-world.

Those work fine but the cheapest way is to save your paper towel and TP cardboard tubes. They fit right over the drill chuck. Tie the line or a small piece of tape to the tube and drill it off.
Save the shot glass for more important things

I do the same with a 2 liter but picked one of these up Amazon.com : Melton Tackle Hi-Speed Line Stripper : Fishing Line Spooling Accessories : Sports & Outdoors. If it ever wears out then I will use the bolt trick. Great info and thanks guys!
