What made a dramatic improvement for you catching them?

i would have to say diversity . every lake seems alot different and a big bag of tricks seems to keep me in the loop

Nothing but time on the water and lots of Gas. Also don't be afraid to try different things, don't just fish how your Dad taught you. There's a lot of information on this site and people that will take you out and show you how.
