Using the outboard to slow your drift??

They might might have been like me. I washed my boat last week and did not plug the battery maintainer back up because the batteries already had a good charge or so I thought. I got to the lake this morning unloaded the boat and drove out to my first fishing spot, dropped the trolling motor in the water and hit the remote for it to come on. Guess what? Nothing happened! Dead batteries. I tried using the big motor for a while but gave up with the wind pushing me around.
