I lernt that Slab is an awe ri'ht guy. Little goofy, but awe ri'ht. :Rofl
I only been around here fer 2 years now but if Slab's responsible for bringing this CC to my interwebs,
he's responsible for takin up so much of my time now in my golden/grey years.
My fellow Kentuckian CrappiePappy shares blame too as he's the well-articulated slabber that turned me on to this place.
I came here for the crappie...I hang around because of the gewbers.
That sounds quotable actually.
You can learn a lot on this site.
But the truth is I learned the most important fishing tactic of my life without any help from anybody and that's rare cause usually I can't figure out nothing.
I just drive by the guys houses who know how to fish and see if their boat is gone. Then I have my wife text their wife and ask where they went fishing. Then I stop by the tackle shop and ask what they been buying. Then when I get to the lake I just find them from a distance and watch them fish with my binoculars. Then mark the spots.
I use to just pull up to them on the lake and ask em how they doing and what you using. But they would just snarl and tell me some hoohoo and pull up and leave.
Sometimes they catch on and you have to find another family member or friend that knows where and how they been fishing and brib them.
/\ LOL...I get the feelin you ain't joshin!
You can NEVER have enough crappie crank baits. Most Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas would shrink in shame if they saw my collection.
MOST IMPORTANT... Be sure to leave this advice in the possession of a trusted friend who will probably out-live you---------------Never let your wife or family sell your fishing gear for what YOU TOLD HER/THEM you paid for it!
