sam rayburn today

went to sam rayburn this am. launched at casels boykin. headed to the bridge to catch some crappie....even had minnows with me. rounded the point heading for the bridge and the closer i got the rougher is was,,,,,ended up turning around due to 2-3' rollers and bad waves. tthought i was in an episode of deadliest catch. couldnt see over some of the waves rolling up the lake. went back to a couple of coves to try our luck.....trolling motor had no power....checked batteries that morning and onboard charger said all were charged. checked batteries and they are no good. they're only 4 years old. guess they just dont build them like they used to. the wind was building the whole time also.......loaded up and went to the picket house for lunch.
