    Default Line color

Those of you who use fluorescent line, like the yellow or orange. Do you tie directly to your jig or use a clear leader?
I don't fish dirty water. Obviously if I fished dirty water it wouldn't matter. I would like to try the hi viz line.
    Thanks guys.

IMHO ... the fish don't care what color line you're using, because they aren't biting your line ... they're biting what's on the end of it.
Extremely clear water ... fish can easily be spooked by something other than line color, and usually are.

Personally, I use hi-vis mono and braid ... and I tie direct to my hook or lure, with both. I've fished hi-vis next to clear/blu mono and the fish did not seem to show any preference of one over the other.

I'm sure your gonna get several answers,so here is mine.I do not like line I cannot see,and watch. Many times that's the best indication of a bight.I use line that contrast the water in most conditions, plus it helps in re tying lures.I ice fish, and use schooly rods and reels, they come filled with yellow 4lb test, many fish have decided yellow line won't bother them.
I do see a fair amount of yellow line in the crappie section at Wally world, but I can't recall who promotes it.

Never a leader, except twice a year I fish a very clear strip pit for gills, then I use a leader.
