If you can run two it's a numbers game. Sometimes in shallower water you can only get away with one.

When I pull doubles I put the light head on the end of the line. It will stay above the heavy head and make for less tangles.

I usually only have one jig on, but I have seen a friend (currently a guide) down on Weiss Lake pull two 1/24oz Jiffy Jigs and do just fine.

Overall, it probably is a "numbers" game .... putting more choices out there for the fish to see vs having twice as many hooks out there that can potentially snag up.

Always heavy jig first and lighter jig on the end.

We are only allowed (by law) to fish either two rods with one hook, or one rod with two hooks, per fisherman. Which is why I tend to pull the two rods to increase the spread.
