Agree Jerry and I don't use cod oil, but I do have some shad oil. I use feathers more than hair, but it should give hair jigs a good smell to them crappie. I bought a bottle of 100% shad oil and still don't use it near as much as I should.

That ole WD-40 works as well.......:D ........Try it....The sweet smell seems to attract the fish ...... fresh or saltwater..............

I would have never thought of using wd-40 as an attractant, I bet it keeps the hooks from rusting....
Did yall know how WD-40 got its name? They were trying to create a chemical that would displace water and it took them 40 times before they got it right, get it, Water Displacement 40, just thought i would tell yall incase you ever wondered how they got the name.

I don't recommend using WD40 as a "attractant" ... even if it does work. It's a petroleum based product, used to "displace" water (rust preventive) and as a lubricant. Petroleum = oil ..... oil & water don't mix. ;) Better to use some biodegradable substance, or a non-petroleum based product ... IMHO.
