So, when you guys are out catching your slabs what do you do with the ones you plan to take home? What is your process? Do you put them on a stringer? Do you put the in the live well? Do you put them in a cooler?
What do you do after he is on the boat and off the line.??
Mine go in a cooler with ice.
If you ever get hit with a bucket of fish, be sure to close your eyes.
I put them on a stringer of course I am also fishing from the bank. If I am in the boat they usually go in a fish basket...
Live well if it is cool enough out, prefer em live when I filet them. But if it is hot out they go in a cooler of ice.
livewell most of the time...

livewell most of the time cause if I only catch a couple they go back in the lake!

Livewell for me, if you take a cooler they will not go bad.
Mine always go in the live well. When I get to the ramp, I transfer to the ice chest. I have to let mine sit on ice overnight. They are much easier to clean. JMO

I fish either in a jon boat (no live well), or from the bank. So first they go in a basket. At the end of the day if I've got enough to make cleaning worthwhile, they go from the basket to the cooler. I'm only a few minutes from home and the cleaning board.

so, those who said when you get back to the ramp....do you have ice in a cooler just waiting to go?
