    Default chicken coop

went yesterday, got out there at 7:30 AM and got run off by the white capping from the storm at 2:30 PM, caught about 20 on shiners in 35 feet of water just out of the river. tried jigs but no luck. not big stringers coming in from the other 40 or so boats out there.

caught 20 fish in 35 feet of water. went to circle drive last weekend and caught 15 that were on the small side, the coop produced nicer fish.

Sounds like a decent trip, and the only possitive report I have heard about the Coop in a long time. Thanks for the report.

it's on toledo bend, and most years is a crappie hot spot. if you have a fishing hot spots map of toledo it will be marked on the texas side north of pendleton bridge. we launch at newells fishing world and go north on the river about a mile. ( newells fishing world is not what it's name implies, it's more of a cluster of camps with a pay to launch ramp) but we launch there cause it's the closest and the lake can get rough there in a hurry. for mapping, the address to newells is 5050 carters ferry rd. E. , Milam Tx. and the GPS coordinates to the coop area are N31* 31' 31" W93* 46' 45"

Thanks FFEM, I appreciate the details. I am thinking about going to Toledo Bend in Feb on a Men's retreat & dragging my boat down too. I appreciate the help! Jimmy.
