I lived there many years ago and would go there bow fishing.

Has anyone done any white perch fishing in Bickham-Dixon Park in Shreveport? I noticed they finally opened up the second gate to where you can access the boat launch now. I have never done any white perch fishing there, and was curious if it was a good lake for that or not. Thanks!

I haven't fished it in over ten years, but I used to do quite well out there. This time of year, I would always find them on tops/brush piles, 6-8ft deep on the west side not far off the bank out from the houses. I used jigs, shiners, or a combo of the two and caught some nice fish. I've been eyeballing it a lot lately, thinking of trying it out myself.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.
