Caney with Mrs20 5-11-24

Heard they were biting. Never been but was determined to go try the lake at least once.

Got there at 6:30. Launch at state park and idle a little ways and drop the trolling motor and go to hunting.

Found some fish on deep timber in 16 to 20' water. They bit good early and fizzled out after sun got up a little.

Super clear water so had to cast a 1/32 with a split shot to the fish and swim it above them about 2ft.

If I found fish stacked up they wouldn't bite. I did much better catching single fish off timber.Attachment 487094
