First fishing trip in a year didn’t disappoint. We attempted a trip a couple weeks ago but realized a couple hundred yards from the launch that the motor doesn’t like gas that’s been sitting up for a year, even when treated.

Left the launch around 7 am ran east to Alligator Point. Drowned some crickets and shiners with no luck then decided to run the rest of the bad fuel out the line while waiting for the sun to come up and push the fish under the rafts. By 8 we were fishing again and within 10 minutes had a few bream in the live well. Bounced around a couple rafts and decided to call it a day at 11. Ate some of Old River Landing’s awesome fried fish and mud fries before heading home.

Ended with a mix of a dozen bream and sacs. Threw back 5-10 more. Fished with shiners and crickets in the shade in about 20 fow. Sacs were about 8-12 ft down.
