That's typical of crank bait fishing. Not to say you don't catch any small fish, but the fish overall are bigger.

I was out there Monday after that big rain they had and ran all over trying to find fish that would bite. I ended with a good sunburn and 7 small fish that I released. Like you said I marked plenty of fish but couldn't get them to bite.
