I’d love to find a solid trigger spin that’s well made, higher quality, very lightweight, consistent line pickup, small form factor. Seems like most choices are pretty similar to what I have now.

I have 6 or 7 of these, but they are the newer ones and are colored light blue/silver.... very good reels and easy to fish with...

Solo reels cost a little more but have a drag and it holds the line away from the rod making it east to get the line in your left hand.

I use a Eagle Claw straight line reel , no line twist , and faster line pick up.

Granite, I have one of those and they are nice that I use when fishing deep water strait down. For shallow water jigging I find that the large handles became a problem when using it on a bottom seat rod. The line that you hold in your left hand seems always to get wrapped around those large handles.
