Sacalait spawn

I’m new to the sacalait game after many years fishing in the marshes. I caught two (2) sacalait in a year of trying to fish for them. I’m not familiar with the freshwater lakes and I’m not sure about where they congregate any tips? I also don’t know if I missed the spawn or not

58 to 65 they will spawn. the full moon and 58 degree and up they will be spawning. we catch them in the marsh spawning on cut grass or any wood, like downed willows. good luck when you start catching Bream the spawn is usually over.

Welcome to the forum and good luck. They are probably spawning in your area now. I have been fishing sacs pretty hard for about 6 years now and just getting to where I can bring home more than an empty ice chest. They are a pretty tough nut to crack if you don't have anyone to learn from
