Quick trip to Mermentau River for a sad stinky boat ride. Launched in town of L.A. into a mess of floating fish and stink water. Rode a few miles down the river and the smell and black water was all the way down. Didn't go quite to Grand Lake before turning back. Never a bite not even a garfish. At least there were no more dead fish after leaving the landing so that's a good sign. Probably a couple of weeks before I'll try that again. Wonder what the water looks like at Dubisson? At least I got away from the house for a while and that felt good.
