I have 2 of the bait pumps and I went back to using a syringe for the simple fact you can load less nibbles and use the plunger instead of screwing the end of the bait pump to get the nibbles in the tube jig. Another tip is to spray a squirt or two of Slab Sauce on top of the nibbles, It helps the plunger slide and softens the nibbles just enough to squeeze out easily.
