When you run out of shiners.....easy enuf, you just pick up your pole with a jig on it (yes, I do have several)...up at 3:30 AM...picked up 75 shiners and headed for Waffle House....then 30 min. to the launch....conditions seemed perfect....good weather, water quit rising maybe a little fall, temp perfect....hook in the water around 6:15.....nada...next treetop put one in the boat....4 more stops and only one more....now it's noon and I only have 2 fish....OK, just one more stop but it is a long run....thats OK, I can do 50.....pulled up to one of my honey holes and dropped a shiner in the water....10 foot deep.....BAM....hurry to get another shiner in the water and BAM....10 shiners in a row produced fish....missed a few bites, lost about 5 coming in, culled about 15....kept 39....all this in an area about 5 ft by 10 feet in 2 hours time....so, when I ran out of shiners, I began throwing jigs.....a little bit slower on the bite but a steady bite....

This little butterfly kept following me around all day....

Tonight, Blaine Salter (Salter Jig Poles) came by and dropped off 5 jig poles and a bunch of packages of weedless hook guards for our prizes...we are thankful for our sponsors...Thank you Blaine....

And no, I am not giving up on shiners....thats my name, I'm stuck with it...
