    Default Enough for supper

Well made a quick afternoon trip before the thunder ran me off. Managed the 2 things I set out to do. 1. Catch supper, 2. Catch a fish on one of sneaky Pete's fly rods that his wife so graciously gave me.Name: 20180709_165420.jpeg

Fresh fish for dinner, just doesn’t get any better than that. And as a bonus being able to honor a friend.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

What a great gesture, let's hear it for Barbera. Dwayne you're one lucky man, to have not only had him for a friend but to also fish with him, the great fisherman he was. I only knew Pete through the forum and the one time I met him was at a CDC gathering at Pat's in Henderson. Even beaten down like he was then he was bigger than life. Cherish your gift but don't just hang it on the wall. There will be a time for that later. Remember your buddy by whipping the water to a froth with that thing.

Well he definitely was there letting me find out all the WRONG WAYS to do things! That fly fishing stuff isn't for wimps! I did have to switch to my ultra light gear so I wouldn't starve! lol

Thanks paw paw. He was definitely larger than life though he would never admit it. I will stay in touch with Barbara just to check on her now and again, I think he would like that.

That Fly Rod looked like new --- I bought one about 40 years ago and it had a mind of its own... when someone stole it It should have whipped them harder than it did Me
