Thread: A Mess!

So I haven’t had much time to fish with the camp flooding at Saline/Larto. The high water really messed up my spring fishing, but I decided that I needed to quit feeling sorry for myself and took my five year old to Henderson on Thursday after work. Didn’t get there till 5:30pm, but found a bream bed after about an hour. Only had an hour till dark, but he sat there and wore them out. Probably caught 40 fish in that hour and kept 17 monsters. We left em biting, so I told him we would go back Sunday. Well, Sunday came around and he was tired from going to the crawfish festival on Saturday and said he didn’t want to go. So I decided to take my father in law who lives across the street. Left about 9am. Since it was just us, we decided we would try the sacs. Glad we did, cause we ended up with a little mess. Caught 15 keepers in l about 2 1/2 hours. Fishing 2 ft deep in about 6 ft of water. All on jigs. Should have the camp back in order by next weekend, so maybe I can get on em in Saline before it gets too hot! Bream pics are from Thursday. Sacs are from today.
