But we did put the hurt in some slabs and bass. Shiners were the key today. We found some stacked under one particular tree and no where else. Besides the8 we brought home we lost several nice ones coming to the boat. The bite was very light, they would take the float under but if we tried to set the hook there was nothing there. We had to let them have it for 10 or 15 seconds before setting the hook. I’ve never seen that before. Conditions weren’t the best, high muddy water or high super clear water. We finally found some that was just right. The wind blew hard from the north and it felt like November. It was a fun day for us.
