Well guys thanks for all the info and advice. Didnt get a huge bag, but I did get a few nice fish. I thought mine was a good one and then dad had to show me up. I think my smaller one was pushing 2# and i know his was probably 2#+ correct me if I'm wrong im a horrible judge of crappie weight. Name: 20180314_165405.jpg

Good mess of fish. Congratulations! Where did you catch them? Get you a digital scale and you won't have to guess about the weight anymore.

A scale takes the guess work out and has been known to humble a fisherman or two!!

That is some fine looking fish you have there! Way better than anything I have caught lately. Thanks for sharing. As for 2 pound crappie, well I can tell you that a lot of people have told me that they have caught 2 pound crappie BUT only a hand full were TRUE 2 pounders! Every 2 pounder that I catch, I weigh and have someone else also witness the weight, lord knows it took me long enough to catch the 1st one and I caught the 2nd one the same day. BUT with all that being said, now WOULD be the time that a big crappie would weigh 2 pounds. Hope this helps some.
