    Default There is something in the water in Louisiana


    And I don't mean high muddy water. Last week Shadow caught a Rainbow Trout in SW La. Now this week I caught a Northern Pike on Spring Bayou WMA. Please rotate . I have other pictures of this chain pickeral and the folder is empty ???

    Yep. We call them Jackfish up here. I have some old shallow sloughs I used to fish that are full of them. I ain't eating them, but they're fun to catch. They can also ruin a small body of water. They'll eat anything and everything they can catch.
    A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

    Finely figured out what happened to the rest of my pictures. That sukka sure had a bunch of teeth in his mouth and he did battle like a 10 lb red fish on my ultralight rod & reel.

    We have Chain Pickerel here too. It seems like you can be catching crappie off of a tree top and catch one of those, then the crappie are gone. I don't know if they spook from the fight of catching one, because they will put up a fight, or they spook because it a predator fish that moved in. I don't exactly but it seems to happen that way.
