Just had to get out and ride around today with the warmer weather. Stopped at Caney dam and there were about 8 boats in the middle of the lake maybe a quarter/third of a mile out from the dam (surprisingly, no one was fishing the deep water next to the dam). The lady at the marina said today was the first day anyone had been out. She didn't know if they were catching anything but said they were buying a lot of shiners.

I fished Caney yesterday afternoon. I'm finding them at 30ft right now. Kept 10 decent ones. Fishing about middle of lake. Can release small ones ok at that depth without airsack popping.
