Went also on Tuesday, 9/19, exclusively for bass.....ZERO fish in the boat.....not even a gar....white spinnerbait, khaki crankbait & soft creature bait.....didn't stop for shiners so that I wouldn't be tempted....big mistake...

For Thursday, 9/21, daylight to 11 AM.....first stop caught a crappie on a white spinnerbait.....switched to shiners and started catching bass....go figure...caught 7 and kept these 4....lost 2.....all one spot but the action there was over by 8:30........picked up another 2 sacs later.....

Sounds like my luck. Three trips on this end with 7, 6, and 4 in that order. At this rate I'll owe the bayou fish when I hit the negative numbers. I'm looking for big improvement soon though with the cooler fall weather.

Not bad for a bad day. Linda and I went a little while yesterday and caught one sac, 2 bass, 1 chink, and one nice catfish all in about an hour. No pictures. Linda got bit by something, probably and ant which she is allergic to, so we cut and ran to the house for medicines. She did have Benidril with her but needed more. Maybe next time.

Looks like a good trip to me Bruce! I quit mainly targeting bass years ago for the same reason, I would go bass fishing and get more bream hits. Now that I mainly bream fish, I catch more bass than when I was targeting them!

I caught some bass in bayou benoit but saw some folks fishing for sacs. Most boats had 10-15 but not much size I was told.
