Bonne Idee

After seeing 20watt's post about the bonne idee I had to give it a try for myself. It's a beautiful place and was a great morning of fishing even though the bite was slow. Caught 5 with 4 being pretty good size and one barely big enough to get the jig. All fish were caught in 4-5ft of water around cypress trees. I talked to other people out fishing and all had similar results. A local guy said the water had rose a bit and the fish had slowed down so I plan on making another trip in a couple of weeks to try them again. Thanks for the information 20watt I always like finding new places to go and try and figure them out!

I rode out today and looked and the water did look like it was up a little but still looked pretty clean.

Yeah the water was clear as can be. Was surprised the entire bayou is pretty shallow. 7ft was about as deep as I found.

There's plenty 10 to 12 ft water on the lower 2 sections.
