I saw what looked like a weight in front of your cranks. Do you use trolling weights? Reason I was asking I just bout some bandit 300s and plan on giving it a try

Yes I push cranks with 3oz weights in front of the ones I'm pulling out back
I also use jigs, spinners,and swim baits behind the weights. Here is a pushing chart Attachment 269284

I use 4 -6.5 footers, 2-8 ft,2-12ft,2-16 footers out back
With 2-8 and 2-12 footers pushing in front all reels are okuma line counters with 30lb braid

Do you run a mono leader off the braid ?

No leader needed just a good size cross lock clip for quick lure changes
