D'Bone rate hike!

I knew the prices were going up, but WOW that seems like a huge increase. They did install new appliances and some furniture this year, guess they trying to recoup all that cost in one year. I will not be camping for the gathering this year either, I will make the drive to and from West Monroe both nights to save $400. CRAZY!

Check out the D'arbonne Motel. $45ish/night. Not the fanciest place you ever stayed but it works.

For me the extra $150 over three nights there seems worth it considering how much I enjoy it. Hope others feel the same.

You must realize that the state of LA is BROKE! The Farmerville/Union Parish area is severely economically depressed. The facilities on lake D'Arbonne are atrocious, the lake commission is a joke, everybody tries to get every penny they can! No good place to stay here, D'Arbonne Motel is a rat hole! Other than that; everything is fine.

That's fine, but you have to include state tax, parish tax, and the hotel tax in the costs involved. It adds up.

I didn't know there were standard and deluxe cabins. What's the difference?

Pawpaw, this is the price for all Louisiana State Parks. D'Arbonnes Cabins are all Deluxe with the exception of two. #5 and #6 are Lodges. Deluxe Cabins sleep 8 and the Lodges sleep 16.
