I hear that the water level is dropping and the water is starting to clear in the lake. Still muddy in the bayous. As for the bean field road, you should be okay with the dry weather on the way. By the time the second day of dry weather rolls around, they have the grader working it.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

The lake level is still up about 4 feet from 2 weeks ago. The fish should be following the bait to the lake now. I have not been out in over 2 weeks and my attitude shows it

I want to go fishing soon too but the only place I really know is Old River and Leeville. Old River is too high right now and the fish are further out than I want to go with my boat right now in Leeville. Power pack went out last trip after a 30 minute run and haven't taken it out since getting it repaired. I've fished Larto one time on a 40 degree morning. I had just bought my first boat and was eager to go somewhere (not the best decision I've ever made for sure). Mainly went riding to break it in and froze my butt off. Looked like a nice lake but I probably won't go there again for a long time b/c of the drive.

I went yesterday. The water is still high but clearing up. There was heavy rain two days ago so the road is still a bit muddy. The wind was a little rough but I managed to catch a few. Good luck let us know how you do.

How is the fishing report at larto now! We haven't been in over a week and mainly caught bream. It's pouring down in our area but hope to be back at the lake mid week for at least a week if not more. Happy fishing!
