Hey FV! Made a scouting trip to Dubisson... It turned into a darn feeding frenzy! Trolling 7 ft deep @ 1.3 mph.

The water clarity is what was key. I'd judge it at 9-12 inches. I fully expected it to be muddy. Had a lot of clutter on my graph below where the fish were holding. Makes me think that the lake turned over because it was the same everywhere.

I have seen that clutter also...wasn't sure what that was....guessing the thermocline will develop soon when the warm weather returns.....I'm surprised about the water clarity as well...seems like it only gets muddy in the colder months.....Thanks for the encouraging report...hoping to get out there soon.

With the water warming up, you need to go. It was 79 when I started at 8:00 and 81 when I left at noon. The fish were just out from the landing in 19 fow. It's also where I marked the most shad.

I hope ya'll don't mind some company, had Christmas in June, just recieved my Shakespeare Line counter reels in the mail today. Fridays present will be my Driftmaster rod holders. I thought about practicing there since there isn't many obstructions "snags." Dubison is 3 mi closer than Larto and easier traveling than the Vic road and crossing the Delta
