I wanted to thank you for the info you gave me. I took off work this weekend and took the wife. Was a little windy but nothing I wasn't used to. Picked a few up around where u said try and I hit another spot I thought to be appealing and caught some as well. 20-22 FOW fishing 16-19' all on shinners tried a few jigs and a few jigs tipped with shinners and nothing.

I was told the other day to freeze a water bottle and put it in your minnow bucket or add ice throughout the day. Guy said it'll keep shiners alive in the heat.
Havnt tried it yet so I don't know much truth to it, if this is the problem you are having.

the few times I went there in the summer several people were fishing where the Pipe line crosses the lake
In this heat you would have to continually tend to the ice replenishing and they will still die......too much effort taking away from time fishing.....imho...well opinion any ways:)
