    Default Darbonne Maps

Who makes good maps of the lake? If you could provide the company name it's greatly appreciated. I'm going to guess that there is a few different one's, and each has their own positives.
Preparing for our March 2018 trip, the research begins!!
    Thanks,
    Brian

My map was issued by the Bayou D'Arbonne Lake Watershed Commision and produced by Riley Company of Louisiana, Consulting Engineers, Ruston, LA. I don't remember where I got it, but I would try Taterbugs Sporting Goods in Farmerville, LA, (318) 620-0171.

Best map we found down there was the one at Taterbugs. It's really a good map of D'Arbonne. It is a paper map. Better laminate it if the weather gets wet.

I too have the waterShed map and it is better than nothing as there are no contour lines on the maps available, but what I dislike about it is the Map shows the old River Channel is completly wrong on the south end..... other areas would put you in a stump field where no person ventures..... I have a friend that Printed up Navonics Maps that are Accurate and do have Contour lines with so much info it might be hard to find where to start

this map shows Teryll Island ... some of the places the old channel is located, instead of what is wrong on the other Map

Ordered 4 maps from Taterbug's today. Going to do some more research on Navionics chips, may upgrade my 4 yr old Lowrance chip.

Don't bother upgrading the Navionics chip. Same stuff on the newer one. They haven't re surveyed the lakes in years.
