    Default Caney Lake 4/15/2017

Have you ever seen 40 Boats, 20 Feet Long, with nothing less than 225 Horse Power Engine, leave at one time. Well, me neither until today. Ole Josh and Mayrou got caught right in the middle of it. One minute it looked like he was sitting in the boat and the next it looked like he was floating on the waves. Anyway when the water settled Mayrou and Josh were still afloat. Now off to fish. We were on Caney Lake today and there was not one parking space left after everybody launched. We fished from one end to the other using Shiners, Hair Jigs, and Rubber Jigs. Big Fish was caught on Grand Bayou Custom Jigs in the "TOE Jig" tied on a Chartreuse Road Runner Head. We also used a Southern Crappie Pro Rainbow Shad w/Orange Head. We ended up with 18 for the day. Wind was tuff!!! We also took 1st Place in our Tournament. After the weigh in we enjoyed one of those Big Burgers and Hand Cut Fries with a Coke from Hooks Marina. You gotta try one!!! What a great day to be out on the water.

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

Congratulations you two. Another good day for team overalls. Looks like I need to get me a couple pair of them.

I've never fished in a tournament but I feel like one day when I learn enough that I would like to. I'm glad that y'all are great fisherman and that y'all can go out and win these tournys and I'm always grateful that y'all share posts and pics of 'em. I feel like y'all are great representatives of crappie.com. Y'all keep it up and Geaux Team Overalls!!!
