HR at work notified me that i needed to take vacation time due to having too much in the system, roger that, fishing trip i go. got to the launch about 9, after send my son off to school, tried a different spot then i normally try, found a canal that i never tried, jigged around till it got "Crowded" then found my way to a different spot in bayou sherman. fished around trying different techniques, but ultimately the Tennessee shad, stinger shad won the day. pulled 1 nice one off the side a cypress tree others were found on a lay down. first fish came with a delight, 2nd fish off lay down was the hammer, all in all i was able to pull 5 sacs from there hiding spot. although this "man" was 13-1/2-14" long the weight was in fact 1lb-2oz which leads me to believe that it was post spawn due to the little weight. after it was said and done came home about 12:30 with a little mess, enough to fill a quart freezer bag which is all ways good in my book. will most likely head back this Friday with some swimmers with me to see if some other specimen have an appetite. didn't set a world record with overflowing wells, but definitely put my mind at ease being in my element.

I like the way you think about being in your element! Catching fish, bonus. Nice looking black there, extra bonus.
Nice mess of fish. I would be happy with those any day of the week.

And with that, I'll see you on the water...
