took my little boy out to find something you get into, went ride around the Union oil canals Saturday not too many boats out. packed up around 8:30 with 50 little swimmers to see what kind of trouble we could get in. first fish he caught all on his own which was a little small but he asked if he could keep it so i threw it in the livewell. the biggest one he caught on the end of a lay down he wasn't really paying attention to his cork and the big boy tipped the cork up and started taking it down so i caught his attention and he pulled a little bit so i helped him out to stab a good hook set and it was like hooking into a log, it was solid fish, so "DAD!" he says, "well lets get him in dude we can play around with a big boy on the line" i told him, "OK" he says, he reels him in with his little reel screaming drag out the whole time. got it in the net about a pound and a half all on his own, so proud of this little guy, we stayed about 3 hours till he was ready to go home.
