Monday on Darbonne
Got on the water about 8, launching at Hwy 2, and marked lots of fish in the channel. The wind was steady and cold and my choice of wearing shorts was obviously a bad one. We fished the channel edges with shiners under slip corks 14-16 ft down
and managed to catch a few fish from every spot we tried. We had very few hard bites, most were very light and we missed as many as we caught. Tried jig poles with a jig on the bottom and a sickle hook and shiner above and caught 2, both on the shiner. Ended with 16, biggest 1 lb 6 oz and 2 right at 1 lb. Also kept 2 cats.
