Bundicks Saturday

Thanks for posting the pics Dwyane. I probably lost around 20 jigs on Saturday, mainly because I kept having to back up and try and get Matt's line unhung and usually hang up one or two of mine in the process. He probably cost me around 40-50 jigs that day. Sunday was different, I don't think I broke off but 1 time.

You guys ever try using weedless jigs? I use them all the time and they work fine and save a lot of hassle.

That is a thought Gene, and I do have some weedless jigs. We usually fish the 4 jig rig so not sure how that would work but may have to try it out. Great to see you on here again Johnny!

If you mind me asking what exactly is your 4 jig rig?? How far apart do you tie them, what weight jigs and do you use a weight?? Lol, I know that's a lot of questions but I saw you posted that before and it's something I'd like to try.

No problem, it is a way of fishing that Slab Hunter showed me and Johnny. They use it a lot at Larto. It is 4 jigs tied in tandem on a single line. I tie mine on leaders that I pre make before I go out and then attach them with a swivel once on the lake. The distance apart can vary, I usually go between 16 and 22 inches. No we do NOT use a weight, the jigs can be any size, we normally use 1/16 oz but have gone to 1/8 when it gets windy, have also gone as low as 1/32 oz.

so if you're spider rigging and the cover, which I assume is stumps on the bottom(?), do you fish just above the cover and how close do you try to get to it? I don't mind fishing the cover nor losing jigs because as i rerig I tend to change the colors up more often.

We try to fish above the cover but sometimes we end up IN the cover. There are a few areas that are not as bad to drift as others but there is still a lot of hang ups. There are areas that you can NOT see any stumps in a lot of the lake, but believe me they ARE there!
