There's going to be a new fisherman in town!!! I found out today I will be working out on I65 at red river at the old Davidson plant keeping there cathodic protection maintained. Where is the honey holes at ? I have caught them at our barge dock in the past but I didn't get to spend as much time there as I'm about too. Thanks for some tips

RETIRED LOUISIANA CRAPPIE HUNTER
There are several here that fish around Shreveport but I haven't seen them post lately. I think LouisianaFishNut (Scott) is from that area, maybe PM him. Also DocWaldo (Mark) is from Bossier. If I remember right Cajun Dave use to fish 12 mile all the time and catch some Slabs! Hopefully this helps some.

I'm probably just going to stay on the river and fish. Our barge unload/load has lots of pilling and structure there and its deep.
Several nice lakes around here. I mainly fish Cypress in Benton, which is on the north side of Bossier City. Also right there is Black Bayou. Equally as good. Cross Lake in Shreveport has been heating up lately. Everyone is flocking to the trees on the west side of the lake in Paw Paw Bayou. There's Caddo Lake north of Shreveport. Nice lake to fish, but I rarely make that drive. It's a good ways from my driveway. I used to fish several places on the Red just north of lock and dam 5, but haven't been to any of them in years. Used to do quite well in Caspiana and White House. Then you have Lake Bistineau. Lots of lake to learn with some awesome fishing.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.
Black Lake is only 45 mins south of Shreveport. If you want to go give me a holler and I'll take you out there in my boat
