    Default So close

to my first two pounder. 1lb 15 oz and a hair over 15". I thought for sure it would break 2lbs. Major respect to the guys who consistently catch 2-3lb fish, cause this was a big fish to me.

not so in his case....he is on a private canal in Oak Harbor, a private subdivision, I had a lot in there for about 7 years & almost retired there....but Katrina scared me away from that....

Congratulations on a great fish. Throw her back and she will probably go 2 pounds the next time you catch her.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I caught 3 - 1.15 oz fish before I broke the 2 pound mark and it took YEARS! But I have caught a few since then so hang in there, it will come!
But when I FINALLY caught my 2 lber, I caught 2 of them the same day. Here is a picture of what I did with mine.
