Live bait shops in Opelousas, Port Barre or Krotz Springs?
I will be traveling from Carencro to Krotz Springs tomorrow and was wondering if there are any live bait shops along my route. I'll be taking I-49N to Opelousas, then Hwy 190E to Krotz Springs, through Port Barre. Looking for worms and crickets. I know WalMart probably has worms, but it's the crickets I'm looking for.
Thanks.

As soon as u get into Krotz springs the very first building there is usually bait there! There really isn't a driveway so u park on the side of 190 on the right, it is just before the very first street! Good luck

Thanks Greezy, I'll have to check them out next time...I think I know where you're talking about. We put the boat in Big Alabama Bayou right as the cool front was moving through. A little drizzle at first, then the sun was peeking out a few hours later when we left. As you can imagine, no bites whatsoever with the weather conditions. I pretty much figured it would be like that, but I was more interested in putting a few hours on my new outboard to finish breaking it in and really hadn't planning on catching much.
