    Default Poverty point 1/30

Started out on south end of the point this am. The crappie bite was pretty slow all morning. Looked and sounded to be slow for everyone. Wish I could say the same for the goo but they were out in full force today, caught at least 2 dozen, maybe more. Ended up keeping 12 good crappie and 7 cats. All caught on south end 16 to 18 ft deep on a mixture of shiners and 20watt special hair jigs. Tried north end of lake for a hour with no luck. Water temp was 53.

Big crappie was 2.25 and big cat was 6.31. Had a goo for ppg bigger than that but didn't weigh him. Sorry....

great report and pictures, 20. I'd take that cooler any day. That is one big goo. Here in Michigan we call then sheepheads. I'm headed down your way on Feb 10 and hope to hit Poverty at least once. Might see you out there. Gonna try Finch, too, and also Darbonne.

Those gill nets might take some of those out if the commercial guys actually try the lake.

Dropped this one back in the lake. Pelicans might have ate some of the smaller ones though
