Sunday on Darbonne
Got down from Michigan Saturday and hit Darbonne Sunday. Launched at Hwy 2 and the first boat we passed was a CDC member. I didn't get his name other than Bob but he noticed our Sylvan V bottom and remembered my previous post. The bite was slow but we managed to put 14 crappie and 3 cats in the box. All but 1 were caught on shiners but big fish, 1 lb 1 oz, was caught on a yellow/ orange slider. We marked lots of fish but they weren't biting real well. I'm thinking the full moon has them feeding at night. Might launch on Hwy 15 in the morning and fish the lower lake.

Glad you had a good trip. I went with a friend to a spill way early yesterday morning and only caught 5 between us. Most people weren't catching many in a location that usually produces. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for everyone.

I tried all the "usual" spots yesterday afternoon before the front came in... it was like the Dead Sea.
